HERNDON, VA, December 23, 2008 -- RCN Corporation (NASDAQ: RCNI), a leading provider of all digital television, high capacity data, and voice services to residential, business customers and service providers announced today that they will once again sponsor Mayor Daley's Holiday Sports Fest.
Presented by the City of Chicago, the Sports Fest is known for bringing together the people of Chicago for a three-day, action-packed festival filled with fun for children and adults alike.
This year's Sports Fest will feature interactive "zones", including boxing, volleyball and football. Chicago Public Schools will host an all-ages chess tournament with on-site instructors to help beginners. Other tournaments include floor hockey and table tennis. The Harlem Globetrotter's are also set to make a special appearance on Monday, December 29 from 12 p.m. 1 p.m.
RCN's exhibit will feature a fast-pitch station, a Price is Right-inspired Plinko game and a raffle with chances to win prizes. RCN will also host a small seating area where guests can relax and enjoy some TV and also try out RCN's great DVR service.
